This preparation is made specially during fasting.
Quntity - 14 Wadas
Ingredients-
1 cup sabudana
½ cup Vari Tandul flour
2 medium size potato
½ cup Shengadanya cha kut
Salt as per taste
7-8 fresh chillies
1 tsp jeera powder
Oil or ghee for frying
2 tablespoon chopped fresh coriander
Method-
1) Soak sabudana in enough water to cover it for overnight. Drain out excess water, if any.
2) Boil, peel and mash potatoes.
3) Grind chillies and salt.
4) Coarsely grind roasted groundnuts/peanuts to make shengdanya cha kut.
5) Mix thoroughly sabudana, vari tandul flour, shengadanya cha kut, chilli-salt paste, jeera powder and coriander and make dough.
6) Divide the dough in to lemon size, approx.14 balls, and flatten each ball between your palms or on a plastic sheet and deep-fry in hot oil or ghee till golden-brown.
7) Serve hot with coconut chutney.

Sabudana wada Written by Guest on 2007-01-08 01:53:43 when not making vada for fast, we can add red chilli powder and whole groundnuts(without roasting) and all other ingredients mentioned(ofcourse wihout the shengdana kut).
