Sweet Potato Halwa/Ratalya che kaap
Be it sweet or spicy, any aloo preparation tingles our taste buds

Ingredients
¼ kg Rataloo (Shakarkand is the hindi name)
½ cup sugar or grated Jaggery
1 tablespoon pure ghee
Pinch of salt
¼ teaspoon green cardamom powder
¼ cup water or milk
(Optional ½ cup scraped fresh coconut)

Method
1) Wash, peel and slice the Rataloo.
2) Heat ghee in a kadai, add and sauté slices.
3) Add ¼ cup water and then cover for 5-6 minutes on a low flame till they cook.
4) Add sugar, salt, scraped coconut.
5) Mix and cover for 2 minutes on a low flame. Add green cardamom powder. Ready to serve.
