This dish tastes good by adding ripe banana slices also.
Serves 4-5 people
Ingredients
2 cups coarse rava/sooji
4 cups hot water or (Mixture of 2 cups hot water and 2 cups hot milk)
2 cups sugar
½ cup pure ghee
¼ teaspoon cardamom powder
1 tablespoon cashew nuts (pieces)
2 tablespoons pure ghee
Method
1) Heat 1/2 cup ghee in a Kadai.. Add rava.
2) Fry rava and ghee together on a medium flame till the mixture turns golden/pinkish.
3) Pour hot water on it and cover it for 5 minutes on a low flame.
4) Add and mix sugar in it and again cover it for 5 minutes. Cook on a low flame till the sugar gets absorbed into the rava.
5) Add 2 tablespoons of pure ghee, cardamom powder, and cashew nuts.
6) Mix completely. Ready to serve.
