Upavasa che Vari Tandul

Serves 2-3 people
Ingredients
1 cup Vari/Bhagar
2 tbsp roasted-shelled Groundnuts coarse powder
1/2 tsp Jeera
1 tbsp Pure Ghee
1 medium size Potato
2 Fresh Green Chillies
1 tsp Salt or as per taste
1 tsp grated Gud
2 tbsp chopped Fresh Green Coriander
1 tbsp scraped Fresh Coconut
2 cups Warm Water
Method
1) Pick and wash bhagar/vari and drain the water.
2) Peel and cut potato into cubes.Cut chillies.
3) Heat ghee in a Patila on medium heat, add jeera when jeera start to change its colour add potato pieces, reduce the heat and cook the potato pieces.
4) Add chillies,groundnuts powder and Vari. Add warm water,salt,gud  and cover the patila. Cook on low heat for 5-6 minutes and till all the water is absorb.   
5) Garnish with coriander and coconut.
6) Serve hot with buttermilk/curd.
