A simple no-fuss cake recipe that you can make without much ado.
This cake tastes just as delicious when made with Chakki-atta and is more nutritious than the maida version.
Method
1) Pre-heat the oven to 180 degree C.
2) Sift Maida with baking powder. Keep aside.
3) Add butter to the milk and set the milk to boil. Keep aside.
4) Beat eggs till stiff. Fold in the sugar and vanilla essence into the beaten eggs.
5) Add flour into the batter little by little and mix well.
6) Stir in the warm milk and butter mixture into the batter and blend well
7) Pour the mixture into a greased and floured pan.
8) Bake it in a pre-heated oven at 180 degree C. for about 40 minutes. To check if the cake is done (after about 35 minutes of baking time), put a knife through the centre of the cake. If the knife comes out clean, the cake is done.
Tip: Choose an appropriately sized baking dish or pan. The batter should fill no more than 3/4th of the pan.
